Income Assistance Pre-Employment Supports Program
“Three-week Job Readiness Program”

Please be advised that the Fisher River Cree Nation “Pre-Employment Supports Program” will be partnering with the “Manitoba Construction Sector Council” for the three-week Job Readiness Program coming up on Monday June 10th, 2019 till Friday June 28th, 2019.

All Income Assistance clients are encouraged to come in and do an assessment, this is a benefit not a deterrent towards your employment opportunities.

REQUIREMENTS:

► Full day attendance
► Open to Fisher River Cree Nation Income Assistance Clients
► Must be out of High School
► 18 and over
► Individuals on Income Assistance band/non-band members (has to be on IA)

ABOUT:
The Manitoba Construction Sector Council partners with Indigenous communities, outreach agencies and construction companies to deliver a three week job readiness program. The program is designed for the new entrant or construction laborer. Participants learn about the expectations of construction companies and how to retain employment. Training occurs in the community where the student will be employed.
Clients who successfully complete the program will be introduced and laddered to other training opportunities.
The Modules will include:

► Time Management
► Work Ethic
► Safety in the Workplace
► Budgeting
► Understanding the Construction Industry
► Professionalism in the Workplace
► Resume Writing
► Mock interviewing
