Under the general direction of the Executive Director, the Resource Coordinator is responsible for the implementation and monitoring all aspects of the Resource Program.   The Resource Coordinator will be a valued member in the placement, development and care of the children in coordination with the Intake and Protection programs.


  • Bachelor of Social Work degree preferred
  • A combination of education and experience may be considered
  • Must have working knowledge of the Child & Family Services Act, the Authorities Act, the Adoption Act, and the related Regulations and Standards
  • Knowledge of community needs within the agency
  • Demonstrated skills in community development models
  • Must pass a criminal records check, child abuse registry check and cannot be active on any protection cases
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written, assessment, organizational, and team building skills
  • Proficient in CFSIS (Child & Family Services Information System)
  • Excellent time management skills and meeting deadlines
  • Must have access to a vehicle and valid Manitoba driver’s license and must continue to possess as condition of employment


  • Must maintain strict confidentiality at all times
  • Coordinate the conducting of home studies, summary for relicensing and addendum to home study reports
  • Collect information on each applicant (family assessments-home study) as per Child & Family Service Program Standards and Act
  • To develop policy and procedures in the area of alternative care (children in care, kinship care, customary care) and resource development
  • To develop, implement, monitor and direct the Alternative Care Workers to provide an acceptable level of service and a suitable environment to both families and children
  • To compile statistical information and ensure the maintenance of current confidential files
  • To prepare and present reports, briefs and information to the Executive Director as directed
  • To assist with Recruitment and Training for both the Resource Program
  • To assist and advise the Special Needs Committee

Salary will be negotiable based on qualification.
