Part-Time Permanent Maintenance Worker

JOB SUMMARY:
The Maintenance Worker, under the general direction of the Health Director, is responsible for providing the Health Centre facility with complete minor repairs & maintenance indoor and outdoor; ensuring a safe work environment for Health Centre staff and the general public; ensure minor upkeep of heating/cooling mechanics; upkeep other Health Centre buildings in proper clean condition; providing other duties related to maintenance.

QUALIFICATIONS:
 Grade X or GED equivalent.  Training in operations & maintenance of buildings and grounds;
 Minimum 5 years’ experience of carpentry, construction, electrical, maintenance & utilities management;
 Must be able to read blueprints of building structure and other related building print material;
 Acquired training in WHMIS, CPR/FA, Transportation of Dangerous Goods or willing to be trained to perform above duties
 Must have valid Manitoba’s driver’s license, must have access to vehicle, preferably a ½ ton truck;
 Ability to work as a team member, at times work independently;
 Good communication, organizational & motivational skills;
 Able to take direction and follow through with completion of tasks;
 Knowledge of local health programs;
 Must be in excellent physical and mental health;
 Must be available to work flexible hours;
 Must adhere to FRCN Policies & Procedures, including the Illegal Drug By-law
