HOUSING INTERNSHIP INITIATIVE
(2) YOUTH POSITION (Ages 15 to 30) | (1) Housing Clerk & (1) Field Worker

(For 30 weeks)

SUMMARY
Under the supervision of the Housing Manager, Candace Garson, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing a wide range of clerical duties in assisting the housing department.  This funding is part of the Housing Internship Initiative for First Nations and Inuit Youth program.

DUTIES:

HOUSING CLERK

  • Work under supervision of Housing Manager and/or Assistant with clerical duties
  • Experience and knowledge working with computer
  • Must be familiar with Microsoft programs (Word and Excel)
  • Must have good communication and organization skills
  • Assist with the housing filing system
  • Must have ability to take direction
  • Will be working out of the Band Office
  • Other duties as assigned

FIELD WORKER

  • Work under supervision of Housing Manager/Assistant
  • Clean HRV and geothermal filters
  • Should be mechanically inclined
  • Must have ability to take directions
  • Must have valid driver’s license, class 5 and access to reliable vehicle.
  • Familiar with Fisher River Community
  • Inspect completion of work orders
  • Other duties as assigned
