EMPLOYMENT & TRAINING ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT
Year Term Position with potential for (6) month extension
(July 2, 2018 – June 28, 2019 with a possibility until December 27, 2019)

The Human Resource Program is seeking a dynamic and engaging Employment & Training Administrative Assistant with a friendly and courteous demeanor to join our organization.  The successful incumbent will provide a high level of expertise in the areas of an Administrative Assistant. 

DUTIES:

  • Using photocopiers, fax machines, postage metre and personal computers, create spreadsheets, compose email, manage databases ie. ARMS, maintain paper and electronic files, create documents and handle travel arrangements.
  • Is responsible for the reporting on a monthly basis.
  • Answering phones, taking messages etc
  • Manage the office when Manger is not in
  • Help Clients with applications ei. EI, OAS etc
  • Other Administrative Duties assigned

EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS

  • A high school diploma and basic office skills proficiency are generally the minimum requirements for entry-level positions.
  • Oral communication
  • Problem solving, decision making, job task planning and organizing
  • Punctual, meticulous, reliable and able to work independently
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, a high level of patience and a positive attitude;
  • Ability to work independently and/or in a team environment;
  • Knowledge of general office procedures, practices and office equipment operations;
  • Demonstrated computer knowledge capabilities;
  • Must be able to work flexible hours and travel upon request
  • Excellent internal/external customer service skills.
  • Must provide with Resume: Criminal Record Check, Child and Adult Abuse Registry Checks (at your own expense)
