Residential Well/Cistern Mapping Assistant
Term (Project 10-12 weeks)

 JOB SUMMARY

To work alongside the Environmental Health Worker (EHW) in mapping out Residential Wells and Cisterns in the community of Fisher River Cree Nation; create reports as per directives given; a project set out by the Environmental Public Health Services Department of Indigenous Services Canada (ISC), First Nations and Inuit Health Branch.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Related education and/or work experience & involvement in the environmental health area
  • A valid Manitoba Driver’s Licence and vehicle
  • Must have access to smartphone, tablet or other android or IOS device to collect data (upload/download data as required)
  • Must complete a short questionnaire to identify the home and provide some basic information about well or cistern
  • Ability to work with local and outside resources
  • Able to take direction and follows through to completion of tasks
  • Excellent interpersonal skills: respectful and professional attitude
  • Must be available to work flexible hours and to travel when required
  • Must adhere to FRCN Policies/Procedures, including Illegal Drug By-law and Criminal Record Check
